Belt Buckles Western Show? no belt buckles for Western riders need a specific size belt? I'm in college in the fall and can be attached to the equestrian team and a requirement of dress is belt buckles. I thought I could get a cheap belt of the target and a loop off eBay, but I was told to check to ensure that a particular style of belt was not necessary.
Generally, a plain black leather belt (not a thin - get a wide belt of Nice that fits perfectly into the loops of your pants) will work fine. You will see amateur belts and various types of loops, but unless you are sure it has been approved by your coach, I stick with the solid black. I show AQHA and use a plain black leather belt with a championship belt loop (a loop typical).
Where are you? I graduated college (yesterday actually) and I rode our equestrian team for three years ... I vividly remember trying to get everything you need for the team:).
Teams may require to be kept together. I would check with the supervisor of the team to see what they wear.
Otherwise, the West did not need a specific size.
