Discount Backpacks

Discount BackpacksHow do you surrender an item?

For example:

Backpack: $ 56.25
Discount: 20%

Just show me how to do it step by step.

What you try to do is to subtract a certain amount (20% of the price) compared to the original price ($ 56.25).

1.) You must first know how 20% is $ 56.25.
Remember, 20% = 20/100 = 0.20
Thus, we multiply 0.20 * $ 56.25, which is $ 11.25 (the discount)

2.) Now, subtract the amount from the original price.
$ $ 56.25 to 11.25 = $ 45.00 (this is the final price!)

______________________________________ ...

The other way to do in one step is to find what percentage we are paying the backpack. We take 20% off, so we have to pay for only 80% of it. As before, we multiply the number by a decimal.
56.25 $ * 0.80 = $ 45.00

56.25 $ * .2 = $ 11.25

11.25 is your rebate

cost of the item is 45.00

Backpack = 56.25
= 20%
First 20% = 20/100 = 0.20
Now multiple 56.25 0.20
56.25 x 0.20 = 11.2500 = discount
Deduct 56.25 11.25 45.00 = = final cost of a backpack.

Another way:
10% 56.25 = 5.625 x 2 = $ 11.25
56.25 to 11.25 = 45.00 = final cost of a backpack.
