How Thomas Crowne time painting in half? You know where he stole the painting in the beginning of the film and in doing so he released the special briefcase, took the painting and put it in, then folded in half? How does he do that without damaging the paint? He left the frame, but it was still on the canvas. What is happening with that? When he returned to his house he went out and it was fine.
In the director's commentary, they say that there [would] be a scene later in the film which shows a line cutting through the wooden frame that makes it pretty clear that his towel had some cutting device to inside. They end up with the scenes that explains everything about him though. Personally, I think they would have had to rely on, that always bothered me!
Sometimes a film is just a movie.
