From the homeless woman accused of theft to celebrity bad girls like Paris Hilton, Lynwood jail is a temporary home for women arrested in Los Angeles County. Also known as the prison Century Station, Lynwood was the main county jail in Los Angeles for women. If you are a woman arrested in Los Angeles, you are likely to be taken to the Lynwood jail for processing and booking.
The bail process arrest, booking, and bonding goes smoothly and is less frightening if you understand the process and know what to expect.
Stay calm during the shutdown process
The police can stop you if they have probable cause to believe that you committed a crime. They detain you, read your Miranda warnings ("You have the right to remain silent .... Etc.), and transport you to a prison - usually Lynwood jail - for processing and booking.
Even if you think the police made a mistake when they arrest you, it is important to be cooperative. Otherwise the police can charge you for rebellion, which makes your situation worse.

Booking procedures may take some time
Once at the jail in Lynwood, women are 'reserved', or processed in the system. Nothing about the booking process is quick, and you will not be able to arrange bail until it is complete. In large prisons, reservations can be as long as 12 - or sometimes more.
The main elements of the booking process are:
· Basic information personal. You are prompted to provide your name, address, telephone number, social security, phone number and information next to close.
· Photography. This is the famous "MUG SHOT", which will look even worse than your driver's license photo.
Collection property. Prison staff · collect all your personal belongings, including jewelry, handbag, wallet, etc. and give you a receipt. All will be returned when you left, except for illegal substances or items kept as evidence. Check the reception to ensure that everything taken from you is listed.
· The fingerprinting and identification. Your fingerprints and personal information are entered into the federal database for future reference and to check traffic.
