Novelty Trouser Braces

Novelty Trouser BracesThe new face of the teddy bear

When most of us think of the teddy bear, we see it as a hug, maybe chubby, cute face and adorable plush but it has not always looked like that.

Let's see .....

As we all know, the teddy bear was born in Germany in 1902. The first teddy bear made her look of "real" in that it bears a very long pointed snout, long legs and a hump on his back so that when he was on all fours, he like a "real" bear. Initially, jointing teddy bear was just a problem for Steiff, but very quickly it was resolved. The teddy bear first performance was given a nose of wax, but this was soon replaced by a "sewn noses. Then, little by little teddy bears that we know and love gradually, even within the company that created it, it began to change its characteristics.

The teddy bear popularity quickly spread throughout the Western world and shortly after his birth, Teddy businesses on both sides of the Atlantic began to produce their own versions of the teddy bear . In the U.S., President Roosevelt (who gave his name to the teddy bear) was quick to recognize the great attraction of the teddy bear, in fact, he used the toy as mascot for the rest of his political career and, when Roosevelt entered rooms for discussions of music "Teddy Bears Picnic 'has often been played. However, in 1904, presidential elections, recently formed Ideal Novelty Toy Co. produced and teddy bear that could be distributed to potential voters in Roosevelt. These teddy bears were only 15 cm tall and had very large eyes and somewhat fixed (including those eyes were known as bulging eyes). Some of the most popular dolls of the time those eyes were very strange and so we suppose that is where the idea came to use them. Subsequently, Ideal Co. did with the teddy bears foreheards wide, large ears (which were discarded) and wedge-shaped muzzle, giving these plush bears a somewhat triangular. Some of the teddy bear's nose made of cloth (a thin, tight Manufacturer or Supplier) but most have been sewn.

Back in Business Britain, like JK Farnell, WJ Terry and Dean's Rag Book Company began producing their own versions of the teddy bears. The teddy bear craze hit Britain around 1908, perhaps this was due to the fact that Great Britain had, it is very own "Teddy" in Edward VII. However, the first company to produce teddy bears articulated in Great Britain was the JK Farnell Company. The teddy bears have their product became even more popular with the start of the First World War because of all German goods (which, alas, teddy bears included) are prohibited.

In 1912, Farnell teddy bear was a lot like the German teddy bear in her eyes, but his members a bit shorter (which was a feature that should prove very popular with UK businesses by teddy 1930). These bears, however, lacks the hump famous German bear "on the back, but they keep the nose slightly pointed.

In 1915, the British company Chiltern very interesting product, but very "different" teddy bear they called Master Teddy. Master Teddy is available in five sizes. He had bulging eyes, which were typical of the period and mimicked the popular animal cariactures of the time. Master Teddy was also dressed in a pink checkered shirt and white pants and blue hat, which had a big red patch on his right knee and these pants were webbed with braces. Master Teddy certainly pave the way for many manufacturers, it has allowed them to be a little wild in his thoughts, drawings and models for their teddy bears.

By 1927, the famous German company Schuco Piccolo their product range of miniature beautiful, articulated animals, plush toys, mohair, which included little teddy bear. In 1927, Schuco produced little plush novelty.
