Pinhole Glasses

In my quest to improve my sight, I bought a pair of pinhole glasses on ebay a bit back. After reading about them in different places, and learn how they can help you see better without using prescription glasses, I decided to spend some money and give them a try. You can not go wrong with spending just a little money. I searched the web and most stores sell sunglasses for $ 15 to $ 20. Then I decided to check eBay and ended up BUYING a pair of glasses for $ 5 pinhold.

After about 10 days I had my glasses pinhole. I guess I owe much to this very good, and I was very surprised to see how they were cheap.

So what are pinhole glasses? They are also known as glasses stenopeic, and instead of using clear lenses, is made of a sheet of opaque plastic lined pinhole sized openings. These small holes on the glasses allow a narrow beam of light entering the eye, which reduces the circle of confusion on the retina, resulting in clearer images.

The black pinhole glasses I have are light plastic, and they do not look that bad. I use it to do things around the house or watching TV, and it is not really whether or not they look good, because I do not use it outside the house.

Although I can not say that my vision has improved with pinhole glasses, I can see much better with pinhole glasses. I was very surprised to see how they work to help me see when I have them. I'm nearsighted with slight degree of astigmatism and I think that my myopia is probably worse than average. If I do not wear glasses, everything seems rather vague and fuzzy to me. So I really did not expect much at first before I tried the pinhole glasses.

But I was surprised to see how pinhole glasses allowed me to see where I've tried. Although things were not clear-cut as they do with my eyeglasses, I could see much clearer, and I saw the lines and edges around objects much better - much better than I thought possible without glasses.

I was able to watch TV without glasses fine, using only the pinhole glasses. For example, glasses and everything is basically a blur on the TV, but with pinhole goggles on, sitting in my proper place, I found I could read some text on the screen. I also found that when I wear glasses pinhole on the outside, my view is even better. It's $ 5 well spent!
