Rucksack Sale

Rucksack SaleWhat should my backpack?

I will return the package to Mexico for a couple of weeks. What size backpack should I take? (Do not go until May, but there's a sale on the black and thought I might as well take advantage!)

Jen

Wow looks like your friend does not want you to go for 2 weeks. I guess you must listen and do everything they tell you to, for they are the master of two weeks.

Really it depends on the size you are, how you can be, and how much you want to take with you. If you go for more than a few weeks, should be 80-100 liters. I travel very light, and for less than a week, 60 liters is very good. easiest way out is to first get your kit together on your bed or on the ground. See how much you want to take, and remember what kind of size and shape of the stuff you need is. Then go to blacks, bring them to show you some proper bags, (and this will really annoy them) get them to empty the stuffing. Putting things in there that are the size of your proposed kit and see if it matches. If they know their job, they will lend you something for a few minutes as you perform this operation. Oh, and if you are good and strong enough, try taking less than 20 kg. Otherwise, you get either very good and strong, or shrink.
Oh and if the seller has any kind of experience he (or she) will probably have a little hiking and to know their stuff. Or they have asked several times. Look for one in the store (and there's always one) with an evangelical gleam in their eyes when you talk about hiking. Then, using their experience, they probably got the job because of it.

if it was me I would take 60 + Litres for that period. Ive got a 75L backpack for 5 weeks backpack.

Ok with no sense just common experiance what I suggest, you must sort through all the things you feel you need in three groups:
Can not live without - (eg passport, money / etc travelers checks Sub)
Need Defently - (eg, clothing, cameras, moisturizer, etc. Kit Wash)
Will probably need - (Makeup example)
Then go to your friends with the backpacks and be part of the first batch, then the second lot and see if your third batch will fit etc. and give you the size you'll probably need.
Seeing that his only two weeks you can get away with £ 50 pack.

Do the first trip without a bag, then when you're finished, you'll know exactly the size of the bag should have been. So next time you will not like me to ask morrones.

Hey, Paul D's response is great, and very sensible advice - if this is really just an additional note ...

Believe me - you'll need half of the things you think you!
Pile your stuff, get up your mom go through it (it will add things like socks and bandages), and then ask a friend to halve everything.

Have a great time - oh, and pack a little bag folding, for the stuff you buy in Mexico.

As small as possible, you're only going for two weeks. If you do not cook for yourself, you really need one of those tiny towels and lightweight travel four days worth of clothes. You can rinse or wash the rest on the cheap and you have more space to take food along the day, and water, and what you want to bring. 40-45 liters should be sufficient and suitable for a sleeping bag too thin.

big enough to handle properly.

large as you wish.
