How do I become a lawful U.S. residents, if my mother is a U.S. citizen? My mother is becoming an American citizen, and I am excited by the fact that it gives me a great chance to become a lawful permanent resident. I was 16 when I came to the States.
I am now 30 y / o / single. No children.
When I arrived in the States, I entered illegally, but once I was in the land of my mother added me as a Assylum, (at times be available for El Salvador)
Then, applications Assylum has become void, if El Salvador people are past the statute of GST.
For example, since 1996, I was renewing my permit (I-765) and now of course a long with the extra I -821 form.
Now, when my mother became a resident of the United States legitimate five years ago, she received her green card by Nacara, with her husband.
However, since the law of 745-I is not available at this time,
If my mother became a citizen, petitions and me, would I go to El Salvador? or can I pay fines to avoid coming home?
Thank you for your interest in helping:)
Carlos
If your mother is a citizen of the United States, she can petition for you. If you remain alone you'll be in an F1-ranking immigrant. People with the priority date of September 8, 2004, receive their visas F1-1 this month. This means they waited about 5.5 years for their visa number to be reached.
You can figure you'll have to wait about 5-6 years from the date it files a petition for you before you can apply for permanent resident status. If she becomes a citizen in 2010, you may be eligible for a green card in 2016, give or take a few months.
While El Salvador is still a part of the GST program in 2016, you can file for adjustment of status that you are not considered illegal.
El Salvador has attracted 1.27 million tourists last year visitor
Expect GST lifted in September
No and you should not be. You want a free ride and as honest men. You are illegal and violate the law still to be here. Go ICE or let you out of there. The house of our land of liberty and home of the brave we need not break the law here. Know the Constitution of the United States? My wife of Dutch desent namely the Constitution, so why not Latinos.
